- Reno Chili
Salsa Pequin

Ingredients:
1 - 12 oz. can tomato juice, tomato sauce, or 2 large roasted and peeled tomatoes
(I prefer fresh Cherokee purple Heirloom tomatoes)
2 Tbsp onion powder or 1 large red onion minced
1 Tbsp red chile powder or chile powder blends of your choice
1 Tbsp Garlic powder or 4 crushed and minced cloves of garlic
1 tsp Cumin
1 tsp Black pepper
1 tsp ground oregano
1 tsp salt (optional)
½ cup chopped green chile (New Mexico Sandias or New Mexico Lumbres are great!)
Instructions:
Place all ingredients in a stainless steel saucepan and simmer over low heat for one hour, stirring frequently to avoid scorching bottom.
